Diamond_Dobby
When you look at the inside of the BLOOD RED Diamond Dobby boardshorts, you’ll see a bunch of really small diamond shapes stitched in a pattern. These slightly raised diamonds make it so a lot less fabric ends up touching your skin. This makes for a very comfortable feel, and helps prevent rashes. The fabric is very thin and lightweight, adding to the comfort level. Diamond Dobby boardshorts also dry extremely fast.
UPF_Protection
The trouble with fun in the sun is exposure to UV radiation, or ultraviolet radiation. Serious health problems such as skin cancer are attributed to accumulated overexposure to UV radiation. Garments that are designed for sun protection can help reduce your exposure to UV radiation.

Different fabrics and other factors affect how much sun protection a garment can offer. The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating shows how well a fabric or garment protects your skin from solar UV and helps you select sun protective clothing with confidence. UPF ratings range from 15 to 50. Fabrics that rate higher than 50 are labelled as UPF 50+.

Remember: the garment only protects the skin it covers.
Water proof
Sublimation_Prints
Dye-sublimation printing is primarily used to print on polyester or other synthetic fabrics and is great for reproducing photographic prints such as trade show banners or table covers, t-shirts, bike uniforms, competitive swimwear, soccer jerseys and flags. The images are initially printed on coated transfer paper as a reverse image of the final design, which is then transferred onto polyester fabric in a heat press operating at a temperature around 180 to 210 C (375 F). Under high temperature and pressure, the dye turns into a gas and permeates the fabric and then solidifies into its fibres. The fabric is permanently dyed so it can be washed without damaging the quality of the image.
Waterproof_Zipper
These zippers are great for keeping things dry and dust free during travels of adventure. They can not withstand being submersed under water due to pressure at depth.
COOLMAX
Coolmax is the brand name of a series of technical fabrics designed to wick moisture away from the skin. The fabrics employ specially-engineered polyester fibres to improve "breathability" which perform better than natural fibres like cotton.

Clothing made from Coolmax is primarily intended to be worn during exertion — sweat can evaporate quickly so the wearer is kept dry. Other useful properties include resistance to fading, shrinking and wrinkling.

These serve to increase the visibility of garments and accessories in dark conditions, i.e. to increase the user or wearer’s conspicuity and enhance the ability to be seen especially at night
NEOPRENE
Raw material:
Wetsuits are usually made of a synthetic, closed cell rubber foam called neoprene. The raw materials (rubber, carbon powder and other chemical components from DuPont) are mixed and “rise” like sheets of dough in flat 2 x 1 meter-sized bowls.

These neoprene sheets are then sliced into thinner sheets of the required mm thickness with band knife machines.

Single lined:
neoprene wetsuits commonly have a jersey lining laminated on the inside for more convenience when putting on and taking off the suit, as well as to enhance wearing comfort and thermal insulation on
the naked skin.

Wind-chill protection:
the neoprene skin dries quicker on.a single lined wetsuit (compared to a double lined wetsuit) and offers better warmth and protection against the wind-chill-effect.
PVC
Polyvinyl chloride, commonly abbreviated as PVC, is a thermoplastic polymer. It is a vinyl polymer constructed of repeating vinyl groups. PVC is a technical textile manufactured for non-aesthetic purposes, where function is the primary criterion.

Chamios_Pads
BLOOD RED ensures hygiene and comfort of its comfort pads by putting special care in padding. The durability of pads, the advanced materials and design to make the most of the performance requirements are the main features of our products.

This is a fabric composed of 100% POLYESTER, a polymer which by its very nature is ANTI-BACTERIAL, and therefore ideal for intimate clothing.

Provides an excellent degree of aeration thanks to its crossed over fibres which give the material its elasticity and ability to breathe and evaporate perspiration.

Dry_Bag_Seal
Roll down three times to create a good seal against water, dust and dirt. You can really keep your gear dry and safe.
Clamp_Closure
This clamp system is good to keep your phone or camera dust free and dry. The clamp is much superior to Velcro closure system in that it guarantees a water tight seal
Flat-lock_Seam
this seam lies flat against the skin and reduces chances of chafing and abrasion. it is commonly used for thinner wetsuits and rash guards with a neoprene thickness of up to 3mm which do not require watertight seams.

Assembling:
the two pieces of neoprene/fabric panels are aligned along the edges and overlap each other approximately 5mm. they are run through the flat lock sewing machine where the needle punctures through the layers and the flat lock seam is visible on the outside.

Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (abbreviated TPU) are a class of plastics with many useful properties, including:

Should any product accidentally fall into the water you can be safe in assurance it will float.
WATERPROOF_RATING_SYSTEM
This rating was originally developed by ROC Gear Inc for use at The Waterproof Store. This does not constitute a guarantee from ROC gear nor from Blood Red, although it is quickly becoming the accepted standard for waterproof containers such as bags, backpack etc. We use this rating to give consumers a quick and easy guide to understanding the levels of water-tightness amongst various products and manufacturers.

Class 1 – Water resistant for light rain or light splash applications. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following situations: prolonged water exposure, heavy top-down watering, forceful water pressure applications, or submersion.

Class 2 – Waterproof in top-down watering applications. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: forceful water pressure, water injected from odd angles, or submersion.

Class 3 – Waterproof so tight it floats or can handle quick submersions. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: prolonged submersion, submersions greater than 3 feet in depth, high water pressure applications.

Class 4 – Waterproof and submersible to at least 3 feet, but no more than 12 feet (maximum depth varies by manufacturer). This is the first class we refer to as truly submersible. Suitable for underwater sports such as swimming and snorkelling, where great depths are not common. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: submersion greater than manufacturers recommended depth rating, constant submersion longer than 24 hours, extremely high water pressure applications where seals could be damaged.

Class 5 – Waterproof and submersible to depths greater than 12 feet (often as much as 100 feet – but varies by product and manufacturer). Suitable for any underwater sport of less depth than the manufacturer’s maximum depth rating. Common applications include scuba diving, snorkelling, search & rescue, and white water rafting. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: depths greater than the manufacturer’s maximum depth rating or any physical force that could jeopardize the water-tight seal.

Contour_Cut
To improve mobility and comfort, all BLOOD RED rash guards now come with a contour cut. It enhances the flexibility in the collar, wrist, elbow and the chest area.
